Flamencos in flight. We learned a lot about these things from a scientific presentation at the visitors center. Such as, they have a special system of hydrodynamics in their legs which allows them to stand in the water even when it freezes at night. And, get this- they are also very nervous and anxious creatures. The night before a migration, they get very stressed out and they can�t sleep. You shouldn�t go near them and harrass them because then they fly away. The stress and exertion form doing this too much can sometimes ake them fall out of the sky and die. I�m sorry, but that is HILARIOUS!
